About The Series
Commander Zhang and Lieutenant Simon are BFFs, soul mates and decorated officers of the Galactic Confederation of Light stationed on the Sirian Mothership Athena. The fun loving duo and adventurous pair are known for their harmless antics and getting into mischief as they embark on interstellar missions as part of the Science and Exploration team.
The series begins when the duo are tasked by the Archangel Michael to take part in Mission Everlight, a joint galactic and angelic mission to aide Earth humans with ascension that will change their lives forever. To complete the mission the two agree to incarnate on Earth as popular idols and actors in China's booming entertainment industry to help awaken sleeping humans around the globe to ascend to the 5D. It is anticipated this mission would create a domino effect that would impact the entire Earth. But when Zhang falls asleep himself, his partner and soul mate is left scrambling to save the mission.
Will their strong bond as soul mates and unconditional love for each other prove to be enough to complete the mission and enable them to guide humanity to a bright new dawn and destiny prophesized by the ancients for thousands of years?

Zhang and Simon are sophisticated characters from another planet, yet they share intimate human qualities. Zhang’s philosophical introspection and Simon’s pragmatic, irreverent optimism provide both heart and humor, making the story enjoyable. Their dynamic, shifting between lovers, comrades, and cosmic co-conspirators, grounds the story—an unabashedly queer love story set against interdimensional stakes.
The worldbuilding is exuberant: mothership biospheres, interstellar bureaucracies, psychic arrays, and a universe teeming with Pleiadeans, Reptilians, Light beings, and more. Earth itself is a battleground for vibrational energies, with the entertainment industry revealed as both a microcosm and a mechanism for planetary manipulation and awakening.
The prose is self-aware, breaking the fourth wall, and often veers into metafiction. The setting includes the gritty, contemporary China and dazzling cosmic vistas, reflecting the protagonists’ dual identities. Themes of awakening, unconditional love, and the struggle against corrupt systems are thoroughly developed in this spellbinding, immersive science fiction. Vegastarchild584 delivers a story that is, as the title promises, wild, zany, heartfelt, and cosmic in scope.
Author Vegastarchild584 really knows how to keep readers on the hook with utterly charming characters and zany sci-fi antics. This is a truly wild MM romantic comedy filled with larger-than-life characters, unexpected twists, and the humorous antics of the two protagonists. Having read the first book a little while ago, I was delighted to be back with Simon and Zhang. I loved the descriptive quality of the narrative as it feels cinematically rich but also detailed and sensual when it needs to be. The theming also strikes a really unique blend of metaphysical sci-fi, comedy, and romance that offers a fun and entertaining reading experience for those who enjoy a mix of genres, but it never wanders too far from its queer fiction roots and strives for a positive and fun portrayal of LGBTQ+ relationships. Overall, Book 2: The Missing Chapters is a rollicking journey that doesn't take itself too seriously, making it a great choice for readers looking for a lighthearted and unconventional adventure, and I would certainly recommend it for fans of the first novel as a very worthy sequel.

A Bit of Back Story
Back in 2022 I learned about a celebrity with a huge and growing global fan base from a country I've yet to visit who was suddenly and maliciously targeted. This resulted in a career-ending scandal said to be of questionable origins with numerous people behind it. The backlash was so huge even his international brand endorsements were all dropped, his name wiped from movies credits and tv dramas as if he never starred in them, his social media accounts were cancelled overnight and his name erased from Baidu, the public online search engine said to be the "Google of China".
A hot, daring intergalactic love story.
With the success of Mission Everlight behind them, in Books 3 and 4, Zhang and Simon undertake several covert operations, encounter some of the multiverse's worst offenders, try to help the good folks still stuck on the 3D Holographic Earth and go deep undercover to stop an insidious plot to usurp the ascension process for the billions of humans on the 3D Holographic Earth. They later stumble upon a vicious plot to take over their mothership, The Athena, and even find themselves battling a blood sucking fiend from a parasitic human race intent on stealing and trafficking advanced weapon technology that could potentially spell disaster for the entire multiverse.
But whether the two Sirian Galactic Officers can resist each other's sexual advances and keep their heads together long enough to see their crucial missions through is anyone's guess.
Take a deep dive with Sirian Commander Zhang & Lieutenant Simon and a growing ragtag support crew as they embark on more adventure, hot MM laden romance and laughs.

"Vegastarchild584 leans into really unique concepts, such as consciousness expansion through intimate acts, connecting the romantic and physical union to a higher, mystical experience. There is a lot of sizzle in the intimacy scenes, and humor in almost every situation they find themselves in. I absolutely love the plot of saving people from Holographic Earth, a false, constructed reality that people are stuck in, designed to keep people from realizing the truth about their existence and the universe. This is yet another immersive, intelligently witty, and wholly engrossing story in the current omnibus, with my sincere hope of more to come. Very highly recommended."

Reality Benders by Vegastarchild584 is the fourth book in the series, and a unique adventure for fans of space operas. It is a riotous, interstellar romp that tosses your run-of-the-mill genre notions and takes you on a hilarious and hot ride with two incredible characters. Commander Zhang and Lieutenant Simon, Sirian Galactic Confederation officers, soulmates, and possibly the most entertaining duo ever to zip across the multiverse, share a strong chemistry. They are on a mission to stop a sinister scheme to hijack the ascension of humans still stuck on the 3D Holographic Earth. They soon uncover a ruthless attempt to seize control of their Sirian mothership, the Athena. They are forced to face off against a bloodthirsty fiend from a parasitic human race bent on stealing and trafficking advanced weapons. But whether these galactic heroes can resist each other’s magnetic attraction and stay focused long enough to complete their vital missions is another twist to this engrossing tale.
Reality Benders is a unique treat in the series and most suitable for readers who enjoy superhero MM soulmates with a talent for reality-bending magic. I enjoyed the bond between these characters; their playful banter gave the story both heat and heart, while their mission—to thwart a nefarious plan to hijack humanity’s ascension process—gives it stakes that span galaxies. The supporting cast is just as eccentric—a ragtag crew ready to stir up trouble and keep the laughs (and the love) flowing. The tension was there, growing through every page, and I enjoyed it. Vegastarchild584 has delivered again in this entry into the series that will excite fans of LGBTQ fiction, cosmic capers, or anyone craving high-vibe fun with a metaphysical twist. The prose was delectable, the world-building immersive, and the conflict propelled the plot forward to unexpected places.
